Buyer's guide

What to check before you order safety equipment

How ordering works, how conformity is evidenced, and what the equipment will need once it is installed.

How ordering works

Send the article list or a description of the premises and we reply with a quotation showing prices, lead times, and any handling charge. Confirmed orders are sourced from our European suppliers and dispatched once carriage is booked. We invoice on standard terms after a credit check, and Swedish public sector buyers can be invoiced electronically in Peppol BIS format.

How conformity is evidenced

Fire equipment carries the harmonised European standard it is built to. We ship the manufacturer's declaration of conformity with the goods and keep a copy against your account, which is what an auditor asks for when the label on a five-year-old item has worn off.

Delivery across the EU and EEA

We arrange delivery to sixteen EU and EEA markets. Extinguishers travel as limited quantity dangerous goods under ADR on road freight, while detectors and blankets can move on standard freight. We consolidate an order into one shipment where carriage rules allow and state any split on the quotation.

What happens after installation

Every piece of equipment has a maintenance interval on its label. We supply that schedule with the goods so the interval is on record from day one. Servicing remains the responsibility of your local maintenance contractor or service company; we supply the article and the conformity paperwork, not field labour.

Frequently asked questions

Ordering, conformity documents, delivery, and what happens after the equipment arrives.

Which standards does the fire equipment in your catalogue meet?

Portable extinguishers are supplied to EN 3-7, bundled home safety kits include optical smoke detectors to EN 14604, and fire blankets are supplied to EN 1869. Each article is manufactured in Europe and carries the conformity mark for the standard named on its product page.

Which conformity documents are included in a catalogue order?

Every consignment includes the EU declaration of conformity or performance for each article, the manufacturer's instructions in the language of the destination country, and a delivery note listing article numbers and batch references. We keep copies against your account for audit.

Is there a minimum order for equipment deliveries?

There is no fixed minimum quantity per article, but very small orders may carry a handling charge shown on the quotation. Pallet consolidation is usually more economical when you order several article lines together.

Who can order from the NORDSKYDD catalogue?

We supply trade buyers: installers, service companies, facility managers, retailers, resellers, and contractors. We do not sell to consumers and we do not provide on-site installation or maintenance labour.
